Sara Pardo is unique.
She hails from Zanesville, a small town in Southeastern Ohio famous for its pottery and Y bridge. In college, she studied at Ohio State University with the unmatched, unconventional Robin Rice whose vocal and pedagogical mastery laid the foundation for her future success.
She went on to receive a full graduate fellowship at the University of North Carolina where she tackled roles from soubrette to spinto, modern to bel canto, trying to find her niche. She premiered works of Kirke Mechem and Ned Rorem to fervent critical acclaim.
She has graced the stages of Italy, Uruguay and Argentina, but has also traversed rural NC wearing a Gretel costume just to entertain and educate middle schoolers about opera.
Diverse, energetic, infectious, unique. And most recently, Chicago-based. Witness the artistry of this young soprano today for an experience you'll never forget.
